I too was charged for an iFit subscription I didn't request - twice. I feel obligated to write a 2nd review after reading the iFit responses below.
This experience dampens the excellent training services I have used over the last year which have been excellent. I am now forewarned and will either cancel my subscription well in advance or renew when the offer comes through. I contacted my bank to inform them the refund was expected and it was in my account the very next day and not the expected 10 days. Without any nonsense he arranged an immediate refund and renewed my subscription at a reduced price. I spoke to a Rep (Dale) who was very helpful. So I had to contact customer support in Logan USA,preferring to use the phone rather than relying on emails which I also fired off. I immediately contacted my bank but they couldn’t stop the transaction as it was pending on my account. I too had recently had offers to renew at a reduced price, which I had all intentions on doing ,however they beat me to it renewing a day early. Similar to Anthony Welsh my individual subscription was recently renewed as a family one costing three times the individual subscription. You can go to Nordic Track site right now, add the same dumbbells to your cart, and lo, when you check out there’s NO WAY to remove the “iFit membership”. EDIT: In response to the what the iFit representative said below, I 1000% did not “opt-in”. And it wouldn't hurt to file a complaint on the BBB as well (search for "BBB ifit"). I'd encourage the many other folks writing similar reviews to file a complaint with the FTC (search for "Report Fraud ftc"). Of course, their IVR system makes it impossible to speak to a person about billing issues, instead directing you to the website (which directs you to call). One year later I was charged $265.00 (!!) for a "yearly subscription renewal", despite never agreeing to subscribe and never providing my credit card information to iFit. Received an email from iFit asking for billing details and to activate my account. Was unable to remove the "Free 1 year subscription" to iFit from my order. Purchased a set of dumbbells from Nordic Trac. Now we wished we would have and in the future will. We didn't look at any other option when we decided to purchase a Rower. We have enjoyed the workouts and wanted to expand our equipment.
HOW DO I GET MY IFIT ACTIVATION CODE INSTALL
I purchased the treadmill one year ago from a local sports store and the purchase to install was seamless. There is huge difference in response time when trying to purchase a piece of equipment compared to solving issues in the supply chain.Follow through on commitments maddens horrible.
Customer Service with this organization is horrible. Finally on the 20th of December talked to the floor Manager only to be told the same thing.
Someone will contact you in 1-3 business days. Went through this process on three different occasions to be told the same thing. Average wait over two hours to speak to a person. Tried using text messaging to find out information. According to the published timeframe we should have been notified of a delivery schedule in 1-3 business days. Purchased a Rower on the 1st of December and it made it to the local delivery warehouse on the 7th of December.
